Almost A Failure

Day 2 was almost a failure. LOL I was busy after work and forgot to take out ground beef for dinner. My mind went immediately went to just getting some take out. I had to, actually, talk myself out of it. I couldn't mess up for my daughter, who I will now refer to as Girly, on the 2nd day. So I just went to the store and got some extra lean ground beef and made Salisbury steak. We had that and a some greens. The day was saved. We even used our healthy divided plates.

Girly had her first day of exercise for the program. She did well. She got on the treadmill and did a few games. The program has an exercise physiologist working with the kids. There were two other kids there as well.

Today was another good day. I couldn't take Girly to exercise because I had a church meeting so my husband took her. She said they worked on the President's fitness test and then they had a kid and parent class with the topic of drinks.

My daughter said she lost some weight but didn't know how much. I have to remember that I can't make this all about weight loss and not continually ask her.

She is doing well with the eating portion. She has oatmeal for breakfast, school lunch and then we have dinner. I will start packing lunch next week a few days a week. They have salads at school so she can eat those on some days.

I'm still not looking forward to all the cooking but I have been doing well so far but it's only been two days. :)
