Trying New Things

I am thinking of trying the turkey burgers with the ranch dressing mix that Wendy from Finding Family Fitness suggested. After my last experience with the turkey burgers, I am a little skeptical.  I hope they are better this time.

I didn’t see the Greek Yogurt at the store I went to today so I can try it in the breakfast smoothies that  Bohemian Hijabi of Tales of a Bohemian Hijabi suggested. I will have to go to a bigger store for that.  The last store I went to did not have any type of light Greek Yogurt.
I packed lunch for the kids again today. This is day 3. Tuna fish, tomato and cucumber salad, an apple and a rice krispie treat for my daughter.  The Kellogg’s Rice Krispie treats are 90 calories and 7g of sugar. Not the best in the world but I don’t think it is that bad to have once or twice a week. It is better than chips or something like that. This way she can have something sweet.  I will hide the box so she will not just ask for them because she sees them. My son requested bologna and cheese.  Also, he did not eat the apple. *lol*

Thanks for the link! I made turkey burgers last night, and I added a sprinkle of quick cooking oats, too. in addition to the ranch seasoning. Do yo have a Forman Grill? I find the turkey cooks more quickly, and it less dry when cooked on that. Good luck!

I don't have a forman grill but it's on my list to get now. It will help with this way of cooking. Maybe I will get one this weekend.
If you are making patties from scratch, try adding in a dollop of plain yogurt. It can help combat the dryness. Also, you can find Greek yogurt at Walmart. I have had some good brands and some not so good ones, but it depends on your preference. my favorite is Chobani, but it can be a little pricey. I didn't like the Yoplait one at all, but the Dannon one was decent for the price. Keep an eye out for coupons! ;)
