Trying New Things

I am thinking of trying the turkey burgers with the ranch dressing mix that Wendy from Finding Family Fitness suggested. After my last experience with the turkey burgers, I am a little skeptical.  I hope they are better this time.

I didn’t see the Greek Yogurt at the store I went to today so I can try it in the breakfast smoothies that  Bohemian Hijabi of Tales of a Bohemian Hijabi suggested. I will have to go to a bigger store for that.  The last store I went to did not have any type of light Greek Yogurt.
I packed lunch for the kids again today. This is day 3. Tuna fish, tomato and cucumber salad, an apple and a rice krispie treat for my daughter.  The Kellogg’s Rice Krispie treats are 90 calories and 7g of sugar. Not the best in the world but I don’t think it is that bad to have once or twice a week. It is better than chips or something like that. This way she can have something sweet.  I will hide the box so she will not just ask for them because she sees them. My son requested bologna and cheese.  Also, he did not eat the apple. *lol*

Comment Luv

YAY! I got Comment Love to work on my blog! Now you can leave a comment and your last post will show up.  I have moved up in the blogosphere.

Now I have to go to the store and pick up some things for the kids lunch tomorrow.  Don't they know I don't like packing lunch and I have already met my two day quota already? Not only do they want packed lunch tomorrow, they had requests! Really?! LOL

Leave me a comment! :)

Kid Instruction Book and Packed Lunch

Yesterday, as we were going to my daughter's Girl Scout meeting, she said "Mommy, wouldn't it be nice if kids came with an instruction book. That way you would always know what to do with us?" I said "Yes, indeed." LOL

OK, so I was so proud of myself for making the kids lunches for school Monday. I made them on Sunday evening and even cut their sandwiches with cookie cutters.  They were really cute. Apparently, my kids did not find them as cute as I did.  When my son got home he asked me why I gave him those little sandwiches.  My daughter said she just wanted a whole sandwich next time.  I was crushed. I though that they would come home, at least my daughter because I made hers into a heart, and say how they loved them. I explained it was the same size sandwich, just in a shape.  They weren't feeling it. :)

Would there be a chapter in my kids instruction book called "The Kids Don't Like Little Cute Sandwiches"?

Making Packed Lunch

My goal for the week is to make lunches at least three times this week.  I cannot stand making lunches so I won't commit to 5 days. LOL I need to get started on it now because otherwise I will be doing it in the morning.

I started a new label called "I don't like". I need to do a post on whole wheat elbow macaroni noodles and label it "I don't like". I used them for macaroni and tuna salad. Maybe I cooked them too long or because it is a cold dish or because I used Fat Free mayonnaise instead of Miracle Whip. Whatever it was, it was not good!

I use the whole wheat noodles in things with tomato sauce so maybe it masks the taste because they do taste different than the good 'ole enriched white flour noodles.

Can I also say that I miss white bread.
