Spring Break

It's Spring Break for the kids this week.  They have been with my parents since yesterday. I can only hope that my daughter's eating is reasonable.  I did brief my mother on what to do:) My mom still took her to her exercise class, so that was good news.  I will talk with her today and see how they did.

My husband and I got sometime alone so we went out to eat and watched Glee yesterday. *lol*

My Dad's birthday is this weekend and we will probably go out to eat.  We can't have a disaster dinner like we did on my birthday.  I plan on finding a healthy option for my family before we go.  Having a plan before hand will cut down on mistakes.  I think the next birthday or special event, we will try and do something different instead of eating out.  Even though I love eating out, we will have to change it.  Not that eating out is bad but, as "they" always say, celebrate in other ways instead of food.

I love restaurants that let me check nutrition information before I leave. Makes some the food look much less appealing.

Kristin's suggestion is so good - if only I wasn't incredibly lazy I'd try it!

His bday is next weekend instead of this week and I just found out he wants to go to Red Lobster, my favorite place for cheddar biscuits and fried seafood! LOL. Broiled seafood is just not the same :) It will be interesting. I am going to go to the site and see if there is something halfway decent to eat.

Great idea about checking the nutritional info. One of my favorite places to eat now is Panera Bread. It's easy to eat a meal for 300 calories!
We are in the middle of spring break, too,and my daughter is going to Grandma's, too. I did give Gma a heads up, but I'm truthfully worried. She pushes food.

Where does you daughter take exercise classes?

Hi Wendy, I wish we could do the bowling thing but I don't think my dad would go for it. I guess I could still ask, he can only say 'no'. But that is a great idea for my sons birthday, in July. Eating out is still an obstacle for us but I am going to plan this time.

My daughter is in a program at the local hospital so she goes there 3 times a week to work out with the trainer and other kids. 'high five to the insurance company':) We try to do activities on the other days.
